There once was a girl named Doreen,
Who met a man she found keen.
He had two girls,
His hair had curls,
And they lived the lives of their dreams!
~ Simon Barge
When I first met Ron, I thought they were perfect for each other. And then he tensed Megan and made her cry. I had my doubts...but ...since then, he has been nothing but fantastic with her!! I have never seen Doreen so happy (which she is all the time)...
Best wishes for a long, happy, and peaceful life together!
~ Simon Barge
Love is like a gobstopper.
You spend your whole childhood
Waiting, wanting that everlasting ball of goodness
And you stand looking in the candy store
Legs shake;
Mouth waters;
Eyes go in and out of focus
Until you get it,
You hold it,
Cherish it,
Kiss it.
Until one insanely tempting night when you finally push it all the way into your mouth you shallow it,
Choke,
And die.
Love is like a gobstopper.
~ Lauren Jacklin
I've known Ron for many a year,
And now Doreen is totally dear.
Sharing your big day,
Finding your groomsman is gay...!!!;o)
May love always follow your start,
And as Mr and Mrs, be forever in your heart!
~ Debbie Zimmer
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Doreen.
She wanted to have a husband that was charming, good looking, and clean.
Her travels took her around the world from here to there.
But despite her looking, she couldn't find Prince Charming anywhere!
One fine day,
In a café
She spotted a man as handsome as the ones in her dreams
He introduced himself, "Hi I'm Ron," and the girl replied, "Hi, I'm Doreen."
They talked and talked and had a great time.
He thought she was sexy and she thought he was fine.
After the years, the dream that Doreen wished for came true.
She married Ron and everyday they both say "I love you!"
~ Zach Shore
Ron is a wonderful guy.
Who is creative and intelligent, but shy.
He was looking for something more in his life,
Which was answered by Doreen, now his wife.
Amanda and Lauren complete the scene,
And now happiness and tranquility is the theme!!
We love you guys! Happy Day!
~ Ellen Shippit
The marriage of Ron and Doreen
Is amazing, delightful, serene.
Makes sense in the end.
'Cause they're bestest of friends.
But Ron won't let her join the Marines.
(Cuz God knows...she does everything else!!!)
~ Hilary Way

One day, Alex Brown (Ron's best web developer) beat Ron 11 times in a row at Fusball. Ron was so enraged that he stormed home in his hybrid car in a river of tears. Once he got home he told Doreen about his string of losses - barely able to hold himself together. They both then started breaking down, and they asked themselves "Why oh why can't we be as great at Fusball as Alex?" But after hours of questioning, all they could come up with was to give Alex $1,000,000 raise. THE END (p.s. love you guys!)
~ Alex Brown
Acrostic Poem
Darling, devoted daughter of Margaret and adapted daughter of Jan and Bill.
Organized to a point of bugging her sisters with details.
Relationship are very important to Doreen now and forever.
Educated in many fields and continues to value learning.
Elegant and sexy!! Just look at her tonight!!
Never wants to disappoint her family and friends.
Ron, you are a very lucky man to win the heart of Doreen Luczi. We wish you many, many years of happiness together.
~ Jan Lockley
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

I once knew a girl next door named Doreen.
At that time, her favourite colour was green.
Then along came Ron one day,
Who asked, "Would you like to come out and play?"
Now the poem has to end since it needs to stay clean.
~ Bonnie Barge
I remember many fun times making due with the two toys we had in Grandma and Grandpa Bedo's basement: the nerf ball and hula hoop. Though the games were limited, we made due, and also had a lot of fun jumping on the beds, playing hind-and-seek, and playing with the water in the backyard. I think the best place to hide was in grandma's wardrobe full of fabric and clothes.
~ Margo Bedo
Doreen, I have many memories of us as kids playing at Grandma's house in the basement, some how making games with limited resources of fabric and a hula hoop. I was always envious of your knowledge of Hungarian, and I always thought you were very cool. ;o) As we grew older we had a lot in common and I remember some long conversations in your basement in Calgary. Even though we don't see each other all that often you are definitely someone I respect so much. I think we have a lot in common. Cheers to you finding happiness in life and now in a life partner! I'm so happy for you. Let's make sure we see each other more.
~ Sarah Bedo

Once there was a girl named Doreen,
Who was really, very, very keen,
And needed a man who was a Doreen fiend.
Along came Ron singin' a song
About how he has longed for a girl like Doreen.
And then there was steam!!
~ Donna Andrews
At a wedding we did meet,
Ron and Doreen, oh so sweet!
It was Ottawa, in 07/07/07
And those two looked like they were in heaven,
And now for them the wedding bells will ring,
We wish for them, love and laughter life will bring.
~ Peggy Bedo
The first time I met them together was at my daughter's wedding in Ottawa. They could not be separated all night. But Doreen being an artist did manage to leave Ron to do a very nice picture on a tile for my daughter.
~ Steve Bedo
Once there was Ron and Doreen,
Who danced to remain long and lean.
They danced to disco.
Ended up in Crisco.
And nobody got in between.
~ Jason Jive Turkey Nail
One day Ron and I were shooting hoops in our driveway. Knowing the competitive nature of Ron, this leisurely activity of shooting hoops quickly evolved into a game of 1 on 1. Due to my young athletism and Ron's lack of defense, the game quickly was in my favour. It was 6-1 for me and I drove to the hoop and Ron blocked my shot. After this thunderous play, I was worried that Ron was hungry for the win and the redemption. After countless hours of trash talk by this so called "1980's Superstar Shooting Guard" I found myself playing defense tied at 6-6. Ron attacks the rim hard and dunks on my head. He tells me, "You might have a chance next year, Kid."
~ Andrew Whittaker
