The meet and how it all began
Alrighty, what can I say about the bride? She's mah-vellous :) When I met Doreen she was wearing a little red hat and had no idea what bus to take back to Vancouver from BCIT. I was the only one with headphones at that bus stop and she decides to talk to me, not somebody readily available to answer her question but me...the only one minding her own business :) It turned out she was going in the same direction I was so, needless to say, we talked...and talked...and talked (translation, she talked, I listened for most of it, hee hee). We became great friends from the moment we got on that bus. She had so many stories to tell and everytime I mentioned something about myself her eyes would just pop open with excitement and she'd say something like "I DID THAT TOO!!!" We had very close similarities in our interests and all that came to shine in that very short ride to Granville Station, that's when we found out we would both be taking the same program at school. A hug was in order when we said good-bye and I remember thinking "I made a friend" (sounds corny, I know).
Taking the same program brought us closer together and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of the beginning of what is now "Doreen & Ron". Hey..I'm just reading through this and I should really stop, this could all be my toast at the wedding :P I thought it was funny having Doreen come knocking on my door (oh, I guess I forgot to mention I lived right across the hall from her for about a year) wondering if Ron's email meant what she thought it meant, or thinking if it's a good idea to go for another coffee, or accept his invitation to dinner, etc...well you get the point. In the end, all that wondering led to the perfect decision and a wonderful relationship. I am so happy for you both and I will never get tired of saying that you two are by far my favourite couple. You're what keep my belief in love and a successful relationship alive. I hope to one day be as lucky and happy in love as you are :) Seriously, this is my toast right here. Love you both, miss you. See you on your wedding day!! :)
